I think I just took a significant step into becoming a better author this morning. I read a critical section, on the order of fifty pages, plus multiple spreadsheets of notes and calculations, and realized it is junk. I will have to rip it out and rethink all of the concepts associated with this part of my book. I am not even going to hesitate except to write a bit of an article about the revelation I just had. I recognized my own writing and ideas as junk and am more than willing to throw it all away without any input from someone else.

Several published authors have told me that this is a good first step, and I find myself eager to take this. Editing here I come!
