I think the best thing to remember no matter when you are buy technology is the same as all other purchases — if it sounds too good to be true it is…this time of year is when tech companies large and small are trying to dump their inventory from the last year or two in preparation for the big announcements that come at the end of January.

Those sub $500 4K Smart TVs that the author talked about, you may regret those come January too, there are rumblings in the industry about sub $200 4K TV. So anything that you buy keep in mind that unless you are sure the person you are buying it for has use for it now, it stands a good chance of being obsolete and returned before the new year.
