I think the problem is the truth of propaganda. The big lie repeated often and loudly is more potent than facts. Trump, Fox, and the rest of the Republican propaganda machine have spent the last four years, especially the last two months, repeating the lie that the economy is not only doing well but "better than ever." Both of these statements have been demonstrably false since the first time anyone said them after Trump was elected. But somehow, the "failing economy" from December 2016 became the "best economy ever" with Trump's inauguration, and no one seemed to be able to see the lie. Welcome to the end of the American Republic, just like the end of the Weimar Republic, with the same racism and propaganda style for flavoring. Just like Germany, we voted our Republic to death and may just compound the error. I have voted, have you?
