They tried to take over the country. Every one of them should be going to prison, at a minimum. There are specific laws relating to what they did, sedition and treason. The minimum sentence for these is ten years in prison. The maximum is death by hanging. The right response was not to escort them nicely out of the building. It was to arrest them, hold trials, and hang the bastards. We have tried for decades to "be nice," "heal," "work with them" it doesn't work, arrest them, hold a trial, and hang them all.
