Unfortunately, some of my family and friends are still stuck in that glue. Nothing I can say or do seems to make a difference, so I have stopped trying to talk to them about politics. They now see me as a radical leftist, even though my politics haven’t changed much for almost 30 years. The definition of ‘the right’ and ‘the left’ has just moved out from under me.
