Will the United States pass their test?

I have written several articles about disturbing trends in the Trump administration, their political, journalistic, and electoral support. But this last week has increased my fear about my countries future. You might ask what changed? Honestly, it isn’t so much what has changed for those of us who were paying attention, believing what Donald Trump or his proxies said rather than the excuses or spin that came later.

He has gone openly fascist and anti-constitutional. He is using militarized and secret police units to break up peaceful protests. And giving orders to state and local authorities that he has no authority or right to give. Something he has done since the start declaring any statement that disagrees with him to be false, but this has endemic, almost every disagreement is now declared fake news. He is openly suppressing voters and using propaganda to invalidate mail-in-voting. Then the typical dictatorial strategy of demonizing anyone who disagrees with him as Radical-Left, for little things like using their Constitutionally protected rights or disagreeing with him.

There are many more examples, but with those examples, I am sure you can find the rest yourself if you pay the least attention. The thing that scares the hell out of me is not just what he is doing, but the parallels I see with history, in particular, 1931 and 1925. Germany, in…
