Yup, the deep dark secret we keep from kids. Adults don’t know what they are doing either. We have just learned to fake it better. Parents? Even better fakers than Adults without kids, they get a degree in faking. Parents with grown children? We have a Masters Degree in faking it. I assume that Grand Parents must get the Ph.D. in faking it. But I haven’t gotten to that level of fake yet.
